IRB Barcelona is seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Associate to participate in cutting edge research line of the Cell Signaling led by Dr. Francesc Posas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Independently design and test biological hypotheses.
- Plan, perform and interpret experiments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team, tapping into the expertise of fellow researchers and external collaborators.
- Contribute to a culture of scientific excellence, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Contribute to other lab projects and to the maintenance of protocols and laboratory resources in the group.
- Critically analyze analytical results, participate in scientific discussions and in preparation of diverse forms of scientific communication (seminars and conferences).
- Participate in the project activities: meetings, presentations, visits to other labs, collaboration, exchange of data sets, preparing project reports/deliverables.
- Perform excellent research according to the high standards of the lab and the IRB Barcelona.
- Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality manuscripts to top-tier scientific journals.
- PhD in a Biomedicine on a related field.
- Ten years of experience in a specialized postdoctoral position.
- Accreditation for Established Researchers, R3 Certificate.
- Demonstrated success in securing competitive grants as Principal Investigator.
- Demonstrated, strong publication record.
- Experience in conceptual or technical aspects related to the group research line.
- Demonstrated ability to design and conduct experiments independently.
- Excellent communication skills with experience as an invited speaker at national/international conferences, research institutions, or business events.
- Experience in technology transfer or commercial partnerships.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and collaborative person.
- Willing to keep on learning.
- Ability to work independently in a demanding research environment.
- Track record of competitive fellowships or research awards.
- Experience in developing novel methodologies or technologies in your research field.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Advanced skills in bioinformatics and computational data analysis.

Working conditions:
