Elisava, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering (UVic-UCC), understands design and industrial design engineering as tools for transforming the world through innovation and critical thinking. Elisava is a faculty that questions pre‑established ideas, experiments with new paths, connects with the professional world and seeks alternatives.
Elisava is offering a position for a Lecturer in the area of Management and Data within the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design Engineering, preferably full‑time. We are looking for individuals who approach technology creatively and view scientific knowledge as a means, not an end. Candidates should possess theoretical and applied knowledge related to electronics, mechatronics, programming, IoT, and robotics, and be able to develop their teaching and research activities in these areas.
The Management and Data area focuses on innovation in the use of products and associated business models. It teaches students to work with data, create interactive installations, design applications, and revolutionize digital production through Industry 4.0. The subjects in this area are:
- Programming Fundamentals (Java)
- Electrical and Electronic Technology (Arduino)
- Interaction and Technology (Unity)
- Mechatronics and Robotics
- Intelligent Manufacturing and Systems
- Connected Ecosystems
The selected candidate will:
- teach undergraduate or postgraduate courses: 420 hours per year
- work on projects/assignments: 120 hours per year
1. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English. Knowledge of Catalan is appreciated

Candidates must hold a PhD in engineering or a comparable field and be accredited by AQU or ANECA with one of these evaluation procedures for private universities:
- directed or co‑directed 2 or more doctoral theses
- a proved experience with teaching and research at an international level
- successfully passed an evaluation of six‑years of research period at AQU (private universities) or ANECA

Finally, candidates must have a strong scientific track record, motivation to teach in creative environments, ability to work on projects with companies, international experience, and a willingness to work in teams and forge new collaborations will be highly valued.

Additional InformationThe salary of Assistant Professor (Professor/a Lector) is worth 41.249,88 € per year.
