BWX Technologies is seeking an experienced and driven Master Production Scheduler to serve as the subject matter expert and technical lead within our scheduling department. This role supports the Scheduling Manager by driving process improvements, developing advanced tools, and optimizing site demand and capacity planning. While this position does not include direct reports, the ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams to achieve financial, operational, and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Scheduling and Planning- Develop and implement tactical scheduling plans with a focus on maximizing available labor and equipment resources to support load board execution within a 13‑week horizon.
- Lead site demand and capacity planning for created and released production orders within SAP.
- Proactively identify short‑ and long‑term manpower and work center constraints, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks.
- Maintain and refine work center data to accurately reflect shop floor operations and capacity.
- Create robust tools and dashboards to track performance, including earned hour analysis, load board targets, and program schedule goals.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive business metrics and reporting systems to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Champion the advancement of scheduling systems by refining current modules and supporting the implementation and testing of future scheduling tools.
- Establish and document scheduling work instructions, ensuring consistency and operational excellence across the team.
- Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert, influencing and guiding schedulers and cross‑functional teams to align with organizational goals.
- Redirect scheduling objectives as necessary based on overall performance trends and unforeseen constraints.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with experience in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data manipulation and analysis.
- Advanced proficiency with SAP‑PP/DS or similar MRP/ERP systems required; EVM experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead initiatives, influence cross‑functional teams, and drive results without direct managerial authority.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
- Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy in fast‑paced, demanding environments.
