Special Education Teacher

Overview

A school district in Banning, California is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher to support an Elementary or Middle School classroom
. This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension through the end of the school year

  35 hours per week
• Contract Length: 3 months, with potential extension
• Pay Rate:
  Starting at $55 per hour
• Setting:
  Elementary or Middle School (based on experience and preference)

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams

• Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe)
• Experience in elementary or middle school settings preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners
