Responsibilities- Complete minor repairs such as patching holes, painting, repairs, furniture, doorknobs, locks, replacing light bulbs, replacing cover plates, and clearing obstructions in drains and toilets. Repairs washers, dryers, dishwashers, small appliances.
- Report any inefficient or unsafe conditions to management upon discovery of those conditions.
- Complete all paperwork accurately as instructed by your Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.
- Perform all work using safety equipment as instructed while obeying all safety‑rules and procedures.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and co‑workers continuously to maintain efficient operations.
- Assist in providing on‑the‑job training for employees.
- Complete work orders as assigned in a timely manner.
- Produce quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
- Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities.
- Assist with facility inspections as directed.
- Assist in pest control as required.
- May complete purchase order ensuring receipt is obtained.
- Clear driveways and sidewalks of snow and use appropriate materials to safeguard against slipping on ice.
- May be responsible for housekeeping duties as assigned.
- May assist with center vehicle repairs.
- Work overtime as needed and participate in an on‑call rotation.
- Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate CSS and employability skills.
- Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property.
- Adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Foster and sustain a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
- Attend all required staff training opportunities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of maintenance experience required.
- Experience working with youth.
- A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
