Shift: mid shift with flexibility – seeking candidate who can work 1st shift, 2nd shift or mid‑shift

Shift differential added to base rate for working later shift

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
  • Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
  • Performing preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires—and completing component lubrication, replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines
  • Collaborating with the manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
  • Assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
  • Excellent customer‑service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must understand and comply with instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and other information established by Penske management
  • Must perform all work in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including correct tool use, PPE, machine guarding, and safe practices
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles; must maintain a current driver qualification file (annual MVR check, DOT Physical, Safety Performance History) and, for CDL holders, a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start with FMCSA Clearinghouse review
  • Willingness to work required schedule, specific location, complete Penske application, undergo background screening (criminal checks, employment and education verification), pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation, and potential regional travel for training
