Assistant Salon Director

Sun Tan City, a leading family‑owned tanning salon chain, is seeking an Assistant Salon Director to drive store performance, foster superior client service, and maintain operational excellence.

This role maintains a high‑energy, client‑centric environment, supervises tanning consultants, and leads by example to meet or exceed productivity goals.

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast‑paced environment
• Lead by example, creating a client‑centric experience and meeting sales expectations
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment
• Set clear goals and objectives for Team Members
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve team performance
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling top‑line revenue and expenses
• Maintain proper staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while controlling labor costs
• Work nights, Saturdays, and Sundays as required for management coverage
• Travel to the bank as needed
• Work five days per week, approximately 40–45 hours per week

• College education preferred, but not required
• Management and/or sales experience required
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple situations simultaneously
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices
• Problem‑solving and organizational/Planning skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor
• Team‑building skills
• Ability to prioritize and delegate

• Stand and walk for long periods
• Bend at waist to clean tanning equipment
• Lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes
• Bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from floors
• Perform salon cleaning functions: dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing

Pay
: $18.00–$19.00 per hour plus performance‑based bonuses and personal & manager bonuses.
