Job Description SummaryThe Parts Counter person will be responsible for assisting customers and Anderson branches in fulfilling their specific needs for parts. This requires a thorough understanding of Anderson’s equipment product lines and their parts (make, year, type).
Responsibilities- Customer Orders: Answer calls or emails to determine customer needs; research and determine correct parts; locate parts in Anderson’s warehouses or other locations such as manufacturers or third parties; arrange fulfillment, including tracking partial shipments.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records in Anderson’s computer systems for all inventory.
- Parts Selling and Customer Service: Recommend and sell related items as requested; understand which components must be sold together to satisfy needs and maximize revenue; handle customer complaints professionally.
- Coordinate with the Service Department: Ensure technicians have correct parts for work orders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a parts position at heavy equipment, automotive, or parts dealership.
- Proficiency with computers, including looking up inventory parts, preparing tickets for filling orders and shipping.
- Knowledge of inventory controls, documentation, filling orders, shipping, and receiving.
- Professional communication skills to promote parts sales and resolve issues.
- Hourly wage $25.00–$32.00, depending on location, experience, and overtime.
