48 per week - Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)

- Scrub Color: Any solid color (professional)

- Minimum 1 year of behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience required (inpatient preferred)
- Pediatric behavioral health experience preferred; candidates without pediatric experience may be considered with manager approval
- Active Maine RN license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- MOAB certification (will be obtained on site during orientation)
- Experience with de‑escalation techniques and physical restraint protocols (chemical restraints not used)
- Comfortable administering psychotropic and routine medications, running therapy groups, and thorough clinical documentation
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Willingness to float between pediatric and adult psychiatric units
- First‑time travel nurses welcome
- Provide high‑quality, compassionate psychiatric nursing care to pediatric (ages 5–18) and adult (18+) inpatients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized behavioral health care plans
- Participate in and co‑facilitate group therapy sessions and support specialty therapies (e.g., pet therapy, community gardens)
- Use de‑escalation skills and apply physical restraint techniques according to policy when needed
- Administer medications, monitor patient response, and manage routine nursing duties
- Document patient care accurately and timely using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, psych techs, and the multidisciplinary team
- Float between pediatric and adult units as required and participate in scheduled weekend/holiday rotations
