Overview
Join us at Maine Recycling Corporation (MRC) as we launch a new 40,000sqft Bottle Bill processing facility in Bangor! We re looking for a skilled Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll assist with the assembly and fabrication of our machines and handle ongoing maintenance and repairs of our equipment, including balers, conveyors, forklifts and general building maintenance. Must have welding and fabrication experience.

Job Type: Full-time.
Shift:
- Monday-Friday, First Shift.
- No Weekends, No Overnights.
Pay: Starting at $25/hr.
Job Responsibilities- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance and thorough cleanings of equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Fabricate designs to handle the operational needs.
- Inspect and confirm the quality of contractor repairs and rebuilds.
- General building maintenance and repairs.
- Prioritize and complete necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to learn machine operations and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Comfortable operating in environments involving heights, confined spaces, and industrial machinery, while maintaining strict compliance with safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work independently.
- Desire to learn on-the-job.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance logs and reporting.
- Experience with hydraulics, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
- Maintenance and general repair experience with forklifts.
- Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
