Inspector - B Shift (M-TH 3:30PM-2AM) – GE Vernova

This position invites qualified individuals to perform critical inspection and quality assurance tasks for GE Vernova’s power generation operations. Working Monday‑Thursday from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, the Inspector ensures product integrity through testing, report writing, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

• Perform product inspection and tests according to established procedures, using gauging, visual and Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.
• Clearly write non‑conformance reports.
• Audit procedures and documentation.
• Assist in providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Use color code system for material identification.
• Achieve and maintain NDT level II certification.
• Interface with team members including engineering, quality, operators, and customer representatives.
• Perform material handling duties; fork truck operation may be required.
• Safely perform required rigging tasks and lifts using cranes and related equipment.
• Communicate effectively (both written and oral) and work well with others.
• Maintain accurate written and computer records.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use gauging equipment as required.
• Perform calculations as required.
• Use computers as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 2‑year post‑secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology or Welding Technology and basic computer knowledge and experience, OR
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar inspection/NDT position requiring the use of prints, gauges, and quality forms and basic computer knowledge and experience.

• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Flexibility:
  Willingness to work B shift (3:30 PM – 2:00 AM; Monday‑Thursday).

The starting pay for this position is $28.90 per hour. The position is also eligible for a 10% Night Shift Bonus (NSB). This posting is expected to close September 1, 2025.
