Join Penobscot Community Health Care as an experienced Psychotherapist to provide mental health services at our Bangor School-Based Health Center.

Overview

Penobscot Community Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving the Greater Bangor area. This role will primarily serve students at Bangor Middle School and occasionally at other district schools.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group therapy to students in an on-site school setting.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary primary care providers and peers in other School-Based Health Centers.
  • Maintain timely access to care, continuity of care, and enhance well‑being of children in the Bangor school district.
  • Adhere to school schedule (Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.).
  • Work in a developing environment and provide high‑quality care as the service grows.
Qualifications
  • LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT license – current and in good standing.
  • Not considered conditional licenses at this time.
  • Full‑time availability (40 hours per week).
  • Experience working in school or community mental health settings is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $48,230 – $71,550 per year.
  • Sign‑on/retention bonus: $5,000 – $15,000 depending on prior experience.
