Responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Admission Coordinator based in Bangor, ME. The Admission Coordinator will be responsible for guiding patients and their families through the admissions process, ensuring compliance with hospice care regulations and delivering superior customer service. Daily tasks may include effective communication with healthcare providers, gathering medical information for eligibility assessments, facilitating the admission process, and coordinating services.

The Admission Coordinator will also support the team by ensuring accurate documentation and facilitating training as needed to maintain compliance with Medicare regulations and standards.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to empathize and build relationships with patients and families
  • Familiarity with Medicare guidelines and a solid understanding of compliance requirements
  • Experience in Medical Terminology and the ability to accurately process and assess relevant patient information
  • Ability to facilitate Training and maintain knowledge of current hospice care standards and practices
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in documentation and administrative processes
  • Associate s or Bachelor s degree in a related field is preferred
  • Previous healthcare or hospice care experience is highly desirable
