Proper Maine Teacher Certificate, 180 day position
Responsibilities- Designs and implements a flexible elementary grade program that creates a classroom environment conducive to learning, personal growth, and academic success.
- Creates a positive, inclusive classroom community aligned with PBIS practices, establishing clear expectations, reinforcing positive behavior, and supporting students' social-emotional development.
- Differentiates instruction to develop each student's skills, attitudes, and knowledge in accordance with their individual abilities, strengths, and learning needs.
- Utilizes inclusive instructional practices to ensure all students, including those with diverse learning profiles, can access grade-level curriculum and meaningfully participate in classroom learning.
- Teaches reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies using curriculum adopted by the School Committee, while supporting student engagement in art, health, physical education, and music.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with students, families, and staff members.
