Overview
Description Husson’s College of Science and Humanities is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in History. Such opportunities are dependent upon the needs of the University. Assignments may require teaching day or evening classes as needed. Interested applicants who have previously applied for the History adjunct pool should resubmit materials to this new posting.
Note:
This is a face-to-face position; instructors are expected to be on campus.
- The instructor is responsible for preparing and conducting classes, preparing and grading assignments, and holding weekly office hours with students.
- The College of Science and Humanities is seeking adjuncts to teach the following courses: HY 101:
Western Civilization; HY 102:
Early World Civilization; HY 103:
Modern World Civilization; HY 111: U.S. History I to 1877; HY 112: U.S. History II since 1877; HY 211:
American National Government; HY 213:
State and Local Government; HY 301:
Twentieth Century History.
- Master’s degree in History or a closely related discipline is required. A PhD is preferred.
- Undergraduate Course:
Masters Prepared $933.33 maximum per credit hour* - Undergraduate Course:
Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour* - Graduate Course:
Masters Level Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour* - Graduate Course:
Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour* - Lab Sections Undergraduate:
Masters Prepared $1,150.00 per credit hour - Lab Sections Undergraduate:
Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,250.00 per credit hour
Rate is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the course assigned.
