We are currently looking to add a
** Logistics Specialist
** to our busy this role you will join a busy team in the purchasing department. The job purpose is to coordinate and support logistics operations with a strong emphasis on export/import processes, and the timely movement of goods across international borders. The role ensures accurate documentation, customs declarations, and communication with hauliers.
** Key Responsibilities
** Customs & Compliance
* Prepare and submit accurate import/export documents and liaise with hauliers and couriers
* Keep records of all customs documentation for audit purposes
Logistics Administration
* Coordinate shipments with hauliers and couriers (air, sea, and road)
* Track and trace shipments and proactively address any delays or issues
* Process shipping and customs documents (delivery notes, commercial invoices, packing lists)
* Work with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations
* Maintain MRP system data related to shipments
* General admin work – i.e. archiving all customs documents
** Desired experience, skills:
*** Experience in logistics or supply chain administration
* Minimum 2–3 years experience dealing with customs and international shipping
* Knowledge of UK, EU, and international trade regulations, including export/import documentation
* Familiarity with Incoterms and HS Codes
* High attention to detail and accuracy with documentation
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with MRP systems
* Team player with the ability to work self-sufficiently
* Positive can-do attitude.
* Problem solver.
