Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Registered Nurse (Bank) to join our clinical team in delivering safe, high-quality patient care across day surgery and outpatient services. This flexible role supports patient assessment, treatment and recovery, ensuring a seamless journey from admission through to discharge.
As part of a modern private day care hospital, you will work in a collaborative environment equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, contributing to excellent clinical outcomes for both private and NHS patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high standards of patient-focused care in line with hospital policies and procedures
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, maintaining accurate clinical records
- Manage day case surgery patients from admission through to discharge
- Communicate effectively with patients and carers, ensuring access to clear information
- Promote positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant clinical environment
- Participate in audits and quality improvement to support evidence-based practice
- Comply with infection control, health and safety and safeguarding policies
- Work across departments as required within scope of practice
- Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct
- Maintain clinical competence and professional accountability
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development
- Contract: Bank role (flexible shifts)
- Job Type: Full-time or Part-time hours available
- Location: The Hamptons Hospital, Cygnet Road, Hampton, Peterborough, PE7 8FD
- Pay: £19.00 per hour (Band 5 equivalent)
- Valid NMC Registration (required)
- Strong clinical skills and patient care experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- IT literacy for clinical systems and record keeping
- Day case surgery experience (preferred)
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) experience, minimum 2 years (preferred)
