Senior Technical Consultant

Job Title: Senior Technical Consultant – Housing Technology (Data, Integrations & Engineering)

I have partnered with a consultancy which are looking for a hands‑on, technically capable Senior Consultant who can operate across multiple disciplines without constant oversight. We are looking for someone with a genuine engineering mindset, curiosity, and the ability to design, build, and improve systems end‑to‑end.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders who are highly technical themselves, but the goal is for someone who can take ownership, think independently, and help shape how we deliver for our customers.

• Leading and delivering technical work across data migrations, ETL, interfacing, data warehousing, and advanced data analysis
• Building and optimising complex SQL solutions, including:
• Dynamic SQL
• Stored procedures
• Highly optimised, advanced SQL logic
• Working on integrations and APIs across housing management systems
• Acting as a technical mentor to other consultants, shaping delivery standards and ways of working
• Being a strong voice with customers - confidently advising when something should be done differently
• Collaborating with colleagues both in‑person and via Teams

• Ability to design systems, solve problems, and improve processes independently
• Ability to write code in an object‑oriented language
• Strong SQL capability at an advanced level
• Experience across data migration, transformations, ETL, or integration work
• Comfortable being client-facing, challenging thinking, and shaping outcomes
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and capable of owning entire streams of work
• Experience in housing technology
• Understanding of housing management systems
• Previous consulting experience
• Ability to mentor or support less technical consultants
