Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Bangor

We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join a growing, product-led technology team working with large-scale, complex datasets to deliver intelligent, automated insights at scale.

This role sits at the intersection of advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-world operational data. You’ll work end-to-end — from deep exploratory analysis through to production-ready models — helping translate data into measurable, high-impact outcomes.

The Role

You’ll work with rich, high-volume datasets and develop scalable analytical and machine learning solutions that support optimisation, prediction, and decision-making. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, experimentation, and turning ambiguity into clear, actionable insight.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure data-driven solutions are practical, robust, and aligned to real needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform deep statistical analysis and interrogation of complex datasets
  • Design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end data science workflows
  • Develop advanced analytics frameworks that deliver actionable insights
  • Translate exploratory analysis and R&D concepts into production-ready models
  • Build and evaluate machine learning models across a range of techniques
  • (e.g. regression, classification, clustering, anomaly detection, time series)
  • Design experiments and model evaluation approaches to optimise outcomes
  • Select appropriate analytical techniques based on use-case requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business needs into data-led solutions
  • Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to internal best practices, documentation, and reusable components
  • Stay current with developments in machine learning and data science techniques
  • Conduct research, prototypes, and proofs of concept for emerging approaches
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for extracting insight from data
  • Proficiency in Python or R and relevant libraries (e.g. pandas, Num Py, scikit-learn, Tensor Flow or similar)
  • Commercial experience working as a Data Scientist on real-world problems
  • Solid grounding in statistics and machine learning techniques
  • Experience deploying models into production or cloud-based environments
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g. Git)
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving problem spaces
  • Curious, self-motivated, and proactive in identifying opportunities
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
What’s on Offer
  • Fully remote role across Northern Ireland
  • Salary up to £75,000
  • Opportunity to work end-to-end on meaningful, production-grade data science
