Assistant Manager International Freight

Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Partner Management
Identify and onboard new channel and delivery partners.
Maintain relationships with key customers and prospects.
Source competitive air and ocean freight rates from vendors.
Respond to pricing queries and monitor competitor rates.
Operations & Documentation
Handle complete international air and ocean shipments.
Prepare shipping documents (Airway Bills, Bills of Lading, invoices).
Coordinate with carriers, agents, customs brokers, pickup, and delivery.
Support customs clearance and track shipments.
Resolve shipment issues such as delays, claims, or returns.
Financial & Margin Control
Monitor shipment costs, revenue, and margins.
Escalate low-margin shipments ( Support invoicing and vendor bill processing.
Coordinate with billing team for timely account closure.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare MIS reports on volume, revenue, margins, and KPIs.
Ensure compliance with GST, trade regulations, and SOPs.
Support audits and certifications (IATA, ISO, AEO).
Collaboration & Process Improvement
Improve freight processes with internal teams.
Use ERP / freight management systems for tracking accuracy.
Mentor team members under manager guidance.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and enhanced customer satisfaction.
