Fitness Trainer
As a  Fitness Trainer , you'll be the driving force behind our guests' wellness journeys, creating a fun, safe, and motivating environment. You'll lead engaging group fitness classes, provide personalized guidance on exercise techniques and equipment use, and develop tailored fitness programs. Your expertise will be key in helping individuals achieve their health goals while ensuring the highest standards of safety and guest satisfaction within our recreational facility.
Your Responsibilities   Guest Fitness & Instruction:
Instruct diverse group fitness classes  at all ability levels, including aerobics, spinning, and strength training.
Provide expert advice  to individuals on the correct and safe methods of exercising with fitness equipment.
Assess individuals' current exercise programs and fitness levels  to develop personalized exercise plans and offer comprehensive fitness counseling.
Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere  for guests within the recreational facility.
Safety & Facility Management:
Observe activity in the recreational facility  and respond appropriately and in accordance with local operating procedures in the event of an emergency.
Provide immediate assistance to injured guests  until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Clean and meticulously maintain  the recreational area, equipment, and supplies.
Call Maintenance or an outside service company  promptly if machines require service or repair.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions  to your manager immediately; complete all required safety training and certifications.

Follow all company policies and procedures ; ensure your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests  according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Speak with others using clear and professional language .
Develop and maintain positive working relationships  with colleagues; support your team to reach common goals; and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Comply with all quality assurance expectations and standards .

Physical Requirements    Read and visually verify information  in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines  (e.g., to identify defects).
Stand, sit, or walk  for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects  weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance.
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects  of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces .
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces , as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
Reach overhead and below the knees , including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Perform other reasonable job duties  as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications

Required:

License or Certification:

CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
Fitness Equipment Certification
Fitness Instruction Certification
Any additional certification or training required by local and state agencies.
Preferred:

Education:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related

Work Experience:

At least 1 year of related work experience.
