Job Purpose
We are actively looking for a Merchandising Operations Associate Analyst to provide buying/work unit with efficient support for the item set up and PO creation work. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who can organize work priorities with supervision and responsibilities would also include taking independent decisions for low complexity problems. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and creative problem-solving skills.
Job Functions
Experience in Retail and Merchandising - Item Set Up, Category management and catalogue management
Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution:
Drive the development and implementation of divisional setup strategies, ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with organizational and industry standards. Spearhead process improvements to enhance operational accuracy and timeliness.
Inventory Lifecycle Management:
Oversee the end-to-end item creation process for both domestic and imported inventory, including factory-ship assortments. Ensure seamless integration of new products into the system, optimizing supply chain and merchandising workflows.
Cross-Functional Data Governance:
Partner with business units to facilitate comprehensive data capture, ensuring all item setup forms contain precise and complete information. Drive system integrity by enabling realtime and error-free purchase order execution.
Supplier & Vendor Relations:
Establish and maintain high-level engagement with suppliers to streamline data acquisition for item creation. Manage post-setup communications, including image procurement and periodic inventory synchronization, to ensure seamless alignment with JCPenney's digital and operational frameworks.
End-to-End Product Data Optimization:
Oversee the collection and validation of orderable and sellable product attributes. Guarantee flawless execution of data integration across all operational systems, maintaining consistency and availability for omnichannel fulfillment.
Digital & E-Commerce Enablement:
Foster strategic partnerships with Digital Operations teams to manage post-setup workflows, including image refinement, inventory synchronization, and seamless deployment of digital content across the website.
Stakeholder & Communication Management:
Act as the central liaison between cross-functional teams, suppliers, and corporate headquarters. Proactively manage daily communications to ensure alignment on key operational milestones, mitigating risks and driving efficiency across the supply chain ecosystem.
Minimum Requirements
0 to 2 years of relevant experience in Merchandising and Item Data Management
Bachelor's degree in related field (Masters will be added advantage)
Critical thinking, Problem Solving & Decision-making
Proficiency in Oracle RMS, data master, PIM or other related operating system
Proficiency in basic excel
Good Communication Skills both verbal & written
