Role Overview
The EHS Manager is responsible for driving Environmental, Health, and Safety excellence across all Zyeta project sites within the city/region. This role requires a proactive and hands-on leader who ensures strict compliance with safety regulations, builds a strong safety culture, and embeds preventive practices into daily site operations.
The EHS Manager acts as the safety anchor for project teams, ensuring that every site operates with discipline, awareness, and accountability. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Heads, vendors, and contractors to create a zero-incident culture while maintaining operational momentum.
You are a vigilant, detail-oriented professional who anticipates risks, enforces standards, and builds awareness at every level of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Governance
• Develop and implement site-level EHS policies aligned with statutory and client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and compliance reviews.
• Identify potential hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures.
• Ensure all safety documentation, permits, and certifications are maintained and up to date.
Site Safety & Risk Management
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) before project commencement.
• Implement safe work procedures for high-risk activities such as working at height, electrical work, lifting operations, and confined space work.
• Monitor PPE compliance and enforce mandatory safety protocols across sites.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize safety risks.
Training & Awareness
• Conduct regular safety induction programs for employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Organize toolbox talks and safety briefings on a weekly basis.
• Develop awareness campaigns to reinforce safety culture across all levels.
• Train site teams on emergency response procedures and evacuation drills.
Vendor & Contractor Safety Management
• Evaluate contractor safety performance before onboarding.
• Ensure contractors adhere to Zyeta’s EHS standards and safety protocols.
• Monitor compliance during execution and take corrective actions where necessary.
• Maintain structured reporting mechanisms for contractor safety performance.
Environmental Compliance
• Ensure proper waste management, material handling, and disposal practices at sites.
• Monitor environmental impact and enforce sustainability standards where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with environmental guidelines and statutory requirements.
Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and compliance trackers.
• Prepare weekly and monthly EHS performance reports for leadership review.
• Track safety KPIs and proactively recommend improvements.
• Ensure documentation is audit-ready at all times.

Qualifications & Experience
• 4–7 years of experience in EHS roles within construction, real estate, interiors, or allied industries.
• Degree/Diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• NEBOSH / IOSH certification (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and safety regulations.
• Proven track record of managing EHS across multiple project sites.
• Excellent reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
