Job Summary:
The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring compliant dispensing, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of pharmaceutical products. The role combines pharmacy regulatory responsibilities with end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure dispensing, storage, and handling of medicines as per Drugs and Cosmetics Act and regulatory guidelines
• Verify prescriptions (where applicable) and ensure correct product, batch, and expiry
• Maintain pharmacy licenses, registers, and audit documentation
• Ensure cold-chain compliance for temperature-sensitive products
• Monitor near-expiry, expired, and damaged stock and take corrective action
Warehouse and Inventory Management:
• Manage inward, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of medicines and medical supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/WMS systems
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations
• Optimize storage layout for efficient operations and compliance
• Track GRN, batch numbers, expiry dates, and serial numbers
• Coordinate with logistics partners for timely deliveries and returns
Order Fulfillment and Coordination:
• Ensure accurate and timely order processing and dispatch
• Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and customer support teams
• Handle returns, replacements, and reverse logistics
• Ensure minimal order errors, damages, and escalations
Quality and Process Improvement:
• Implement SOPs for warehouse and operations
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks
• Identify process gaps and suggest operational improvements
Required Qualifications:
• 1–5 years of experience in pharmacy operations and or warehouse management or Inventory
Skills and
Competencies:
• Hands-on experience with inventory management systems
• Attention to detail and high accuracy
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel / ERP systems
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in inventory, healthcare supply chain, or cold-chain logistics
• Exposure to audits and regulatory inspections
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Inventory accuracy and stock variance
• Order fulfillment TAT and accuracy
• Compliance adherence and audit outcomes
• Reduction in expiries, damages, and losses
