Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Legal Counsel to support our India operations with a particular focus in the manufacturing industry.

The scope includes providing corporate, commercial, compliance, and transactional legal support across the group. The successful candidate will operate as a corporate generalist with broad regional exposure.

Key Responsibilities
General Legal Advisory:  Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice across all business units.
Contract Management:  Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on international commercial agreements, including NDAs, supply of goods & services agreements, procurement contracts (materials, equipment, IT services), lease agreements, letters of intent, term sheets
Corporate & Transactions:  Support corporate governance matters and cross-border strategic transactions. Assist in M&A, joint ventures, investments, and related due diligence, negotiations, regulatory clearances, and post-completion matter.

Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across business operations and contracts. Engage with internal stakeholders to align on commercial and operational risk positions.
Compliance:  Provide guidance on Group policies and ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Training :
Develop and deliver legal training programs to business teams.
External Counsel Management:  Engage and manage external counsel as approved by the General Counsel.

Qualifications & Skills
Qualified lawyer eligible to practice law in India.
5–10 years of corporate/commercial legal experience with a mix of law‑firm training and in‑house exposure.
Experience in manufacturing industry is an advantage
Strong command of Legal English.
High ethical standards and proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills with ability to advise non-legal stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation capabilities.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Willingness to work irregular hours to coordinate with global teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Occasional international travel may be required.
