About the Role

We are looking for a  Lead Data Scientist with deep expertise in Generative AI and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)  to lead the design and development of enterprise-scale AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with  Gemini models and the Google AI ecosystem , leveraging  Vertex AI, Gemini APIs, and advanced LLM architectures  to deliver scalable and impactful AI-driven solutions.
This role combines  technical leadership and hands-on development , where the candidate will drive  GenAI innovation, mentor data scientists, and lead end-to-end AI solution development  for complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the  design, development, and deployment of Generative AI solutions using Gemini models on GCP .
Architect  LLM-powered enterprise applications using Gemini APIs, Vertex AI, and GCP AI services .
Develop  multi-modal AI applications leveraging Gemini capabilities (text, reasoning, code generation, document understanding, and multimodal inputs) .
Design and implement  Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures  integrating Gemini models with enterprise data sources.
Drive  advanced prompt engineering, prompt optimization, and prompt management strategies  for Gemini models.
Build and scale  agentic AI systems and AI-driven automation workflows using LLM frameworks .
Lead the development of  end-to-end ML pipelines on Vertex AI including training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring .
Integrate  Gemini models with embeddings, vector databases, and enterprise knowledge retrieval systems .
Ensure  model scalability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency on GCP infrastructure .
Collaborate with  cross-functional teams including data engineers, ML engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders .
Mentor and guide  junior data scientists and ML engineers , providing technical leadership on AI initiatives.
Stay updated with the  latest advancements in the Google AI ecosystem including Gemini, Vertex AI, and emerging GenAI frameworks .

Required

Skills & Qualifications

8–12 years of experience  in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
Strong expertise in  Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and advanced NLP techniques .
Hands-on experience working with  Google Gemini models (Gemini Pro / Gemini APIs / Gemini through Vertex AI) .
Strong experience with  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)  including  Vertex AI and AI/ML services .
Experience building  GenAI applications using Gemini for tasks such as text generation, summarization, conversational AI, reasoning, and document intelligence .
Expertise in  prompt engineering, prompt tuning, and LLM optimization techniques .
Strong experience implementing  RAG pipelines using embeddings, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval systems .
Advanced programming skills in  Python  with ML frameworks such as  Tensor Flow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn .
Experience deploying  production-grade AI and ML solutions on cloud platforms .
Strong understanding of  deep learning, NLP architectures, and LLM-based systems .
Proven experience in  technical leadership, solution architecture, and mentoring teams .

Good to Have

Experience with  Lang Chain, Llama Index, or other LLM orchestration frameworks .
Experience building  AI agents or agentic AI systems .
Knowledge of  MLOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, model governance, and monitoring .

Experience with  vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate .
Exposure to  multi-modal AI applications using Gemini models .
