What role you will play in our team
We're seeking a Data Integration & CMDB Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines that integrate Service Now CMDB and related modules into our analytics ecosystem. This role will own ETL/ELT workflows, data modeling for CMDB entities, and data quality governance to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure data for IT operations, reporting, and BI. You'll collaborate closely with Service Now developers, ITOM/ITSM teams, and BI analysts-translating operational needs into robust data solutions.
Job location is based out of Bangalore, Karnataka
What you will do
Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from Service Now CMDB and related modules into enterprise data platforms. This includes ensuring data quality, modeling CMDB entities, and enabling scalable, reliable, and governed data flows for reporting, analytics, and IT operations.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
B.E/B.Tech/BCA/BSc in Computer science or related courses
Understanding IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL
4) is crucial for ensuring that all citizen-built applications are secure, compliant, and well-integrated into the existing enterprise systems.
Technical Skills
Own and manage the endtoend lifecycle of CMDB, including class structures, relationships, and reconciliation on the Service Now platform.
Implement and maintain CMDB governance policies, processes, and data quality standards.
Ensure CMDB accuracy and completeness by monitoring and improving data ingestion sources.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT development.
Experience with SSIS, MSSQL, and building Python-based pipelines (dbt experience is a plus).
Familiarity with Service Now CMDB data structures, tables, and REST APIs.
Understanding of Service Now Integration mechanisms (Import Sets, Graph, SQL export).
Knowledge of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and data warehousing concepts.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data services.
(Plus) JavaScript for Service Now scripting and custom integrations.
(Plus) Understanding of Service Now Discovery and ITOM processes.
Tools & Technologies
Service Now components:
Integration Hub, MID Server.
Data pipeline tools: SSIS, Python pipelines, dbt (preferred).
Optional exposure to orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory) and cloud warehouses (Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift, Azure Synapse).
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborative mindset to work with Service Now developers, ITOM teams, and BI analysts.
Adaptability:
Thrives in dynamic environments and adjusts quickly to organizational changes and priorities.
Knowledge of IT governance, security, and compliance standards. (good to have).
