Job Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Product Development Manager with hands-on experience in modular furniture and cabinetry product development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in panel construction systems, hardware integration, feasibility validation, and parametric software implementation.
This role requires close coordination with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to convert product concepts into production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design Translation
Convert product design concepts into production-ready technical drawings and specifications
Define joinery logic, hardware application, and structural detailing
Ensure alignment between design intent and manufacturing feasibility
Prototyping Coordination
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and refine prototypes
Evaluate manufacturability and optimize designs for production efficiency
Identify improvements before final product release
Software Implementation
Build and maintain parametric product configurations within modular software libraries
Ensure software outputs match actual production specifications
Maintain product data accuracy within the system
Feasibility Validation
Validate machining, hardware compatibility, and assembly feasibility using iMOS
Resolve technical conflicts before product release
Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards
Appliance Integration
Ensure accurate appliance clearances and compatibility within modules
Validate installation logic and serviceability
Counter top Detailing
Prepare and review counter top slab drawings
Ensure correct cut-outs, structural support logic, and installation guidelines
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
4-8 years of experience in modular furniture or cabinetry product development
Strong understanding of panel furniture construction and hardware systems
Experience in BOM creation and cut list preparation
Hands-on experience with modular design software and parametric logic
Working knowledge of iMOS feasibility validation
Ability to interpret technical drawings and machining requirements
Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Competencies
Experience working in a manufacturing-driven environment
Knowledge of CNC machining processes
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
