Director Technical

Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision:
Define the long-term vision and strategy for SMS, Firewall, USSD, MMSC and No-Code/Low-Code platforms, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Lead market analysis, identify trends, and leverage emerging technologies to shape the product roadmap.
Product Development:
Collaborate with engineering, security teams, and developers to define product specifications, technical requirements, and use cases.
Drive end-to-end development, from concept to launch, with a focus on high scalability, security, and performance.
Stakeholder Management:
Interface with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, compliance, and marketing, to ensure seamless product integration and deployment.
Act as the primary advocate for the product, leading discussions with customers, partners, and internal teams to gather insights and improve offerings.
Performance Analysis:
Set up monitoring systems to track product KPIs and performance metrics, including throughput, latency, and error rates for SMS, USSD, and firewall services.
Analyze data trends to optimize user experience, detect anomalies, and implement performance improvements.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to global telecom regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) throughout the product lifecycle.
User Experience (UX):
Design user-friendly interfaces for USSD applications and ensure intuitive workflows in No-Code/Low-Code environments to enhance user experience.

Qualifications

Experience:

8-10 years of product management experience in the telecom or software industry, specifically managing SMS, USSD, firewall, and No-Code/Low-Code applications.
Proven experience in leading large-scale projects, particularly in highly regulated and complex technical environments.
Technical

Skills:

Deep knowledge of SMS protocols (SMPP, SS7), USSD services,and firewall architecture
Familiarity with No-Code/Low-Code platforms like Out Systems, Appian, or Microsoft Power Apps, including hands-on experience in building and deploying applications.
Familiarity with 2G,3G,4G Architecture
Strong API integration skills (RESTful, SOAP), with the ability to design scalable APIs and ensure seamless system interoperability.
Understanding of network security principles, encryption standards, and cybersecurity best practices.

Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployment.
Proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics) and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
Analytical

Skills:

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven product decisions.
Leadership & Communication:
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for a variety of stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and product lifecycle management tools.
Familiarity with AI/ML-based analytics for product enhancement and optimization.
Knowledge of telecom compliance standards like GSMA guidelines, FCC regulations, or other regional requirements.
Background in UX research and design thinking methodologies.
