IT Manager

Location: Bengaluru

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Manager to lead and build our internal technology infrastructure and operations. As our dedicated IT Manager, you will be pivotal in establishing secure, scalable, and efficient IT systems from the ground up. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage all aspects of IT, from day-to-day support to strategic planning, ensuring our team has the tools and environment needed to thrive in a fast-paced startup.

Mandatory Skill Set

Experience with network administration, endpoint management, and security operations

Experience with IT security frameworks, compliance standards, and audit preparations (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of EDR, MDR, XDR solutions
Implementation and management of MDM & DLP solutions
Identity & Access Management (Entra , AWS IAM and other cloud access management)
Network security & firewall management
SIEM implementation & log analysis
Incident response & forensics
Patch management & vulnerability remediation
Backup/DR planning & testing

Key Attributes
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated experience with IT project management, budget management and business process optimization
Proven experience managing cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), identity management (Entra ), AWS IAM etc
Demonstrated success leading IT teams in GRC-focused organizations

Roles & Responsibilities
IT Operations & Infrastructure Management
Lead and manage IT operations team, mentor and develop team members to achieve performance goals
Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage systems, end-user devices, and enterprise applications
Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows/Linux servers, and on-premises infrastructure for optimal performance and security
Manage hybrid IT environments, coordinating between on-premises and cloud resources
Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements

2.  Cloud Infrastructure & Modern Tech Stack
Manage AWS, Azure and GCP infrastructure operations (EC2/S3/RDS, VMs/App Services)
Implement and monitor cloud security posture (Security Groups, NACLs, IAM policies)
Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and high availability configurations
Ensure continuous compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, DPDP via cloud configuration audits
Conduct regular access reviews across all cloud platform
Manage cloud services utilization and cost optimization.

3.  Security & Compliance
Ensure implementation of enterprise-grade cybersecurity controls and security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II compliance)
Oversee identity and access management using AWS IAM, Azure Active Directory, and Google Cloud Identity
Implement Zero Trust security architecture and multi-factor authentication (MFA) across organization
Support in conducting regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and remediate findings
Maintain compliance with data protection regulations including GDPR, DPDP Act, and EU AI Act (where applicable)
Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans with regular testing
Maintain secure data backup and recovery procedures; ensure RPO/RTO objectives are met
Implement endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions for threat prevention and detection

4.  IT Project Management & Strategic Planning
Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with organizational business objectives
Lead IT transformation initiatives and technology modernization projects
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic implementations
Manage IT budgets, capital expenditure, and operational costs; prepare cost-benefit analyses
Oversee vendor management, including evaluation, negotiation, and performance monitoring
Conduct IT gap analysis and readiness assessments for compliance and security frameworks
Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes

5.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners
Negotiate licensing agreements and service contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness
Coordinate with business departments to understand IT requirements and provide solutions
Serve as primary escalation point for business-critical IT issues
Provide IT advisory to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders
