You will play a critical part in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers key business decisions. We are seeking an experienced professional who can work with minimal oversight to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable data solutions. Whether your strength lies in sophisticated Data Modeling OR high-performance ETL Development , you will be essential in ensuring data quality and consistency throughout the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Engineering: Develop and maintain data models or ETL pipelines that serve as the foundation for reporting and analytics.
SQL Mastery: Write and optimize complex data queries to extract insights and manage large volumes of data efficiently.
Data Warehousing: Collaborate with BI developers to design data structures that support interactive dashboards in Power BI or Tableau eline Optimization: Maintain and improve existing data infrastructure, focusing on performance tuning and scalability to support growing data demands.
Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous data validation and testing procedures to identify and address anomalies.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with architects, data engineers, and business owners to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Agile Delivery: Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously using tools like Jira to track progress and dependencies.
Required Skill Sets
Core Technical Requirements
Expert SQL
Skills:
Highly proficient in data querying, performance tuning, and advanced SQL functions.
Specialized Expertise (One of the following is required):
Strong Data Modeling: Deep experience in conceptual, logical, and physical modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Strong ETL Development: Proven track record of building, maintaining, and automating complex ETL/ELT pipelines.
Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS (or other major cloud platforms like GCP/Azure).
Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of modern data warehouse architecture and design.
Preferred Skills (Advantage)
DBT Proficiency: Experience using dbt for data transformation, modeling, and documentation is a significant plus.
Visualization:
Experience with modern BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker .
Data Observability: Familiarity with data quality and validation tools like Monte Carlo.
