Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced  Senior Platform Engineer  to build, run, and evolve mission-critical banking platforms. This role focuses on  production reliability, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure), automation, testing, and operational excellence  for large-scale distributed systems supporting core banking modernization initiatives.
You will play a key role in ensuring system availability, performance, security, and resilience while driving continuous improvement across platforms.

️ Key Responsibilities
Run and manage  production environments , ensuring high availability and holistic system health monitoring
Operate and modernize  core banking ledger and switch systems  supporting mission-critical banking workloads
Design, build, and manage  platform infrastructure and applications  on  AWS and Azure
Improve  reliability, quality, and time-to-market  across software platforms
Execute  chaos engineering, performance benchmarking, and functional testing
Build  functional and non-functional test frameworks  for communication protocols including:
HTTPS
Kafka (AVRO / JSON)
AS2805
SNMP
ODBC
MQ
Measure, monitor, and optimize  system performance and reliability  using data-driven approaches
Provide  primary operational support  for multiple large-scale distributed applications
Design and run  automation  for cloud components and platform operations
Strengthen  logging, cybersecurity, observability, and reliability  through robust engineering patterns
Lead  post-incident reviews , conduct root cause analysis, and implement permanent remediation strategies
Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to support  core banking modernization
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in  Platform Engineering / SRE / Production Engineering
Strong experience in  Core Banking systems , ledgers, and transaction platforms
Hands-on expertise with  AWS and Microsoft Azure
Deep understanding of  distributed systems, high availability, and resiliency patterns

Experience with  automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure management
Strong background in  performance testing, chaos testing, and reliability engineering
Knowledge of  banking protocols and messaging systems
Solid understanding of  cybersecurity, observability, logging, and monitoring
Excellent troubleshooting, RCA, and stakeholder communication skills
⭐ Good to Have
Experience in  core banking modernization programs
Exposure to  cloud-native architectures and microservices
SRE mindset with strong focus on  SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
Experience supporting  high-volume financial transaction
