Position Overview:
We are looking for a rockstar, motivated IT Support Engineer (L1) with a generalist approach and a strong foundation in managing and supporting IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving day-to-day technical challenges, ensuring smooth operations for employees, and providing reliable IT hardware and system support.
You will play a critical role in maintaining our internal IT systems, troubleshooting hardware and network issues, and ensuring employees have the tools and support they need to work efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end IT support for employees, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth daily operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laptops, desktops, printers, and other IT hardware.
- Support and manage systems across Windows and macOS environments.
- Diagnose and fix network-related issues including Wi-Fi, LAN connectivity, internet configuration, and VPN setup.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as workstations, monitors, printers, and accessories.
- Actively support users on the floor, responding quickly to technical issues and requests.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand IT requirements and implement effective support solutions.
- Maintain documentation of IT assets, support processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Ensure systems are running securely and efficiently by following IT best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in IT infrastructure and support tools, advocating improvements when appropriate.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of new technologies and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure handling, supporting an environment of 50–100 users.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and macOS troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with hardware support including laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals such as Wi-Fi, LAN, routers, IP configuration, and internet troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with basic IT tools, ticketing systems, and support workflows is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward technical challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- A generalist attitude with flexibility to work across various IT support areas, eager to learn and grow.
