Director Data Engineering; Presales

Position: Director Data Engineering (Presales)
Location: Bengaluru

Role Overview  We are seeking a Data Engineering leader with strong presales expertise to support business growth through customer engagement, solutioning, and deal shaping. This role will partner closely with sales and delivery teams to design scalable data solutions, respond to RFPs, and articulate value propositions to senior client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities    Lead and drive  presales activities  for Data Engineering engagements, including  RFP/RFI responses .
Own  solution design and architecture discussions , leveraging deep knowledge of the Data Engineering technology stack.
Partner with sales, delivery, and practice teams to develop  winning technical and commercial proposals .
Create and present  client-facing solution decks, estimations, and implementation approaches .
Participate actively in  effort estimation, cost modeling, and sizing of Data Engineering solutions .
Engage with customer stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data engineering solutions.
Support deal closures by addressing technical queries, risks, and assumptions during presales cycles.

Required Skills & Experience    Proven experience as a  Data Engineering leader  with strong exposure to  presales and solutioning .
Deep understanding of the  Data Engineering technology stack  (data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT, cloud platforms, big data frameworks).
Strong experience leading  RFP responses , technical proposals, and bid defenses.
Hands-on expertise in  solution architecture, estimations, and delivery planning .
Excellent  client-facing and presentation skills , with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Ability to work closely with sales and delivery teams in fast-paced, deadline-driven presales environments.
