Google Cloud Data Engineer (Primary title: Google Cloud Data Engineer)
About The Opportunity
A fast-growing services organisation in Cloud Data Engineering and Enterprise Analytics, focused on building scalable, production-grade data platforms and real-time analytics on Google Cloud. We deliver end-to-end ETL/streaming solutions, data warehousing, and operational pipelines that power analytics and ML use-cases for enterprise clients. This is an on-site role based in India for an experienced GCP Data Engineer to own pipeline design, implementation, and operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines on GCP using Dataflow/Apache Beam and Pub/Sub.
Model, optimise and manage enterprise-grade Big Query datasets and queries for cost-efficiency and low-latency analytics.
Ingest data from on-prem and cloud sources into Cloud Storage and Big Query; implement data validation, partitioning and cataloging.
Author and maintain Airflow (Cloud Composer) DAGs for orchestration; implement monitoring, alerting and SLIs using Cloud Monitoring/Stackdriver.
Collaborate with Data Science and Product teams to product ionize ML features and provide clean, well-documented data contracts and schemas.
Drive infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD best practices for data platforms; implement security, cost governance and operational runbooks.

Additional qualifications :
Proven track record building production data pipelines and delivering operational handover (runbooks, monitoring, cost optimisation) on Google Cloud. Strong focus on data quality, schema design and query performance tuning. Excellent collaboration with cross-functional engineering and analytics teams.
