Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Embedded BSP Engineer who can independently develop, customize, and support Yocto / Android BSPs, with exposure to QNX for safety-critical or industrial platforms.
This role is execution-focused, not training-oriented. Expected to own tasks end-to-end: analysis → implementation → validation → documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Yocto BSPs for NXP / Qualcomm platforms.

• Modify and validate Device Tree (DTS/DTSI) for peripherals (GPIO, I2C, SPI, PWM, UART, Display).

• Customize Yocto images (, package inclusion/exclusion, system services).

• Build and debug Linux kernel with custom defconfig changes.

• Configure and validate U-Boot environment (bootargs, bootdelay, DTB selection).

• Perform board bring-up and validation (boot, storage, networking, display, camera, USB).

• Support Android BSP development (build, flashing, basic debugging).

• Assist in QNX BSP support (board validation, basic bring-up activities).

• Work closely with QA, AE, and deliver stable images.

• Produce clear documentation (build steps, validation reports, issue analysis).

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)

• Hands-on Yocto experience (end-to-end image build, not just theory).

• Strong understanding of Device Tree and peripheral bring-up.

• Ability to debug build failures independently (Bit Bake, kernel, DTS).

• Prior experience delivering working BSP images (customer/internal).

• Comfortable working on Linux command line, scripting basics (bash).

• Strong ownership and ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Candidates with only theoretical knowledge or copy-paste build exposure will not be considered.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Android BSP experience (AOSP build, flashing, logs).

• Exposure to QNX (even basic familiarity is acceptable).

• Experience with CI/CD or build automation.

• Understanding of industrial hardware platforms (NXP / Qualcomm).
