HANA Transformation - SD / GTS Lead

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced  SAP S/4

HANA SD / GTS Lead  to lead  Sales & Distribution (SD)  and  Global Trade Services (GTS)  work streams in large-scale  SAP S/4

HANA transformation projects . The role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of order-to-cash, compliance, and cross-border trade processes, ensuring alignment with SAP S/4

HANA best practices and regulatory requirements.
The SD / GTS Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional SAP teams to drive a successful transformation across sales, logistics, billing, and global trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities
S/4

HANA SD / GTS Workstream Leadership
Lead  SD and GTS work streams  in SAP S/4

HANA transformation programs (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition).
Own end-to-end  Order-to-Cash (O2C)  and  Global Trade Compliance  processes.
Act as the primary escalation point for SD and GTS-related topics.
Solution Design & Delivery
Drive solution design and hands-on configuration for:
SAP SD   :
Sales Orders, Pricing, Deliveries, Billing, Credit Management (FSCM)
SAP GTS   :
Compliance Management, Customs Management, Preference Management, Trade Agreements
Ensure adoption of  S/4

HANA SD simplifications , Fiori apps, and embedded analytics.
Design and govern  SD-GTS integration  for embargo checks, export controls, customs processing, and duty calculation.

S/4

HANA Transformation Activities
Lead  Fit-to-Standard (F2S)  workshops and business process harmonization.
Assess and manage  custom code (RICEFW) impacts  for SD and GTS in S/4

HANA.
Guide  Business Partner (BP)  conversion and customer master data harmonization.
Integration & Cross-Module Coordination
Coordinate closely with  MM, WM/EWM, TM, PP, and FI/CO  teams.
Ensure seamless integration across  Order-to-Cash, Logistics, Finance, and Trade Compliance  processes.
Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, CPI, middleware) for interfaces and enhancements.
Testing, Cutover & Go-Live
Lead  unit testing, SIT, UAT , and defect management for SD and GTS.
Own  cutover planning  for open sales orders, deliveries, billing, and trade data.
Provide  go-live and hypercare support , ensuring business continuity and compliance.
Governance & Team Leadership
Ensure adherence to  SAP Activate methodology , project standards, and documentation.
Review and approve functional designs, configurations, and test artifacts.
Mentor SD and GTS consultants and support knowledge transfer.
Required Skills & Experience
SAP SD / GTS Expertise
10-12+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in:
SAP SD (Order-to-Cash)
SAP GTS (Compliance, Customs, Preference Management)
At least  2-3 full-cycle SAP S/4

HANA transformation projects  in a Lead role.
Strong understanding of  global trade regulations and compliance processes .
S/4

HANA & Trade Compliance Knowledge

Experience with :
S/4

HANA SD simplifications and FSCM Credit Management
SAP GTS integration with S/4

HANA
Export controls, embargo checks, and customs declarations
Exposure to  GTS Edition for S/4

HANA  is highly desirable.

Knowledge on LeanIX, Signavio for process flow preparation and discussion with business team, is an added advantage.

Leadership & Delivery Skills
Proven experience leading SD / GTS delivery in large SAP programs.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working in  global onshore-offshore and multi-country environments .

Preferred Qualifications
SAP S/4

HANA certification in SD and/or GTS

Experience with  SAP Activate methodology
Industry experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Life Sciences, Retail, or Consumer Goods
Exposure to  SAP TM, EWM, or Advanced ATP  is a plus
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into SAP solutions
Mentoring and coaching mindset
Excellent documentation and presentation skills
