Role Summary
The Production Engineer is responsible for the endtoend operation of critical business applications that support Arval's leasing activities. Working within a multidisciplinary squad, you will provide firstline technical and functional support, manage incidents, orchestrate releases, monitor performance, and ensure the resilience of production services.
Key Responsibilities
Incident & Problem Management – Diagnose, resolve and close production incidents via Service Now; draft Post Incident Reviews (PIRs) and drive rootcause elimination.
Change & Release Coordination – Plan, schedule and execute releases in collaboration with Development, Operations and Business teams; maintain version control and documentation in an EDM system (e.g., Alfresco).
Monitoring & Alerting – Implement and maintain dashboards in Splunk/Dynatrace; configure alerts, supervise batch jobs and verify backup/restore processes.
Documentation & Knowledge Management – Create, update and publish operating procedures, technical guides and user manuals; keep the knowledge base current.
Performance & Capacity Management – Analyse logs, traces and metrics to identify bottlenecks; propose optimisations and support capacity planning activities.
Resilience & Continuity – Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) tests; ensure compliance with resilience procedures.
Collaboration – Work closely with the Production Security, Infrastructure and Technical Office domains, providing expertise for security, network and cloud related requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in production support or application operations, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
Technical Proficiency
Strong grasp of ITIL incident, problem and change management processes.
Handson experience with Splunk and/or Dynatrace for log analytics and performance monitoring.
Proficiency in Service Now (ticketing) and Jira (task tracking).
Solid understanding of Linux and Windows server environments, relational databases and basic SQL.
Ability to write and maintain Shell/Bash scripts for automation and log parsing.
Experience with Jenkins and/or Ansible for CI/CD and configuration management.
Familiarity with an Electronic Document Management system (Alfresco, SharePoint, Open Text, etc.) for version controlled documentation.
Basic knowledge of Java/Angular logs for application level troubleshooting.
Methodologies: Agile/Scrum way of working, KPI management (SLAs), capacity planning.

Desired (Niceto Have) Skills
ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
Experience with additional monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog).
Exposure to enterprise EDM platforms beyond Alfresco.
Knowledge of production resilience frameworks (DRP, BCP).
