JOB DESCRIPTION:

Skills:
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing cloud and hybrid Azure Platform solutions.
- Can demonstrate deep knowledge in setting up Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zones and hands on experience with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Prior experience in roles such as Azure administration, development, or Azure-focused Dev Ops.
- Previous experience leading and mentoring Cloud teams/Communities of Practice.
- Proven leadership skills, and capable of building and managing technical teams/communities of practice.
- Expert knowledge with Azure Data Services & or operated as a Data Engineer/DBA/Data Scientist.
- Prior experience in one or more:
Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Open AI Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Fabric, Azure Purview, Power BI, Azure SQL
- Familiarity with Azure cloud native components.
- 5 years’ demonstrable experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies and CI/CD principles and practices.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure Dev Ops, and Gitlab.
- Adept at collaborating in diverse teams, with excellent communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities or Expectations from the Role:
- Lead and guide platform engineers, encouraging best practices in Azure administration, development, and Dev Ops processes.
- Engineer and optimize hybrid Azure Platform solutions, focusing on but not limited to compute, network, storage, monitoring, security and automation.
- Collaborate with Azure Platform engineers, architects, and other stakeholders in the implementation of an Azure Data & AI Services.
- Provide expertise in IT operations areas, such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, and governance, ensuring these areas align with the overall Azure Platform strategy.
- Participate in Project related activities to meet operational needs.
- To ensure knowledge articles of all supported systems are continually updated.
- To provide a high level of customer service, whilst working under pressure.
- To follow and adhere to established Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management procedures.
Minimum Qualification:
15 years of full time education
