Position: Senior/Staff Layout Engineer – IO/ESD (ASIC)
Location: Bengaluru

About the Role
Join the specialized ASIC & Semiconductor Division at  Prodapt , a global leader in the ‘Connectedness‘ industry and a certified Great Place To Work®. We are seeking a layout expert to specialize in  IO and ESD design  for advanced SoC projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring the robustness and reliability of our chips at the industry‘s most advanced nodes (2nm to 7nm).

Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of custom  IO and ESD layouts .
Apply deep knowledge of  ESD protection concepts  and implement strategies for  latch-up avoidance .
Perform full-cycle layout implementation using  Cadence Virtuoso .
Execute and resolve  DRC/LVS/Antenna  violations using industry-standard tools like  Calibre, Assura, or PVS .
Manage Layout-Dependent Effects ( LDE ),  IR drop , and stringent reliability constraints to meet performance targets.
Collaborate with circuit designers to debug complex layout issues and optimize area/performance.

Required Qualifications

Education:

B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in  Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or VLSI .

Experience:

4+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in  IO and/or ESD layout .
Node Expertise:  Proven track record working with advanced process technologies (specifically  2nm to 7nm ).
Tool Proficiency:  Expert-level skills in  Cadence Virtuoso  and verification tools (Calibre/PVS).
Technical Depth:  Strong understanding of reliability constraints and physical verification debugging.
