Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive Government & Defense AI business across Central/State Govt, PSUs, Defense, and allied agencies.
- Identify, evaluate, and lead end-to-end tendering processes (RFP/RFQ/EoI):
- Tender intelligence & qualification strategy
- Consortium building (if required)
- Tech + commercial bid ownership
- Bid submission, negotiations, and closures
- Demonstrated experience winning government or defense contracts, not just applying.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Ministry officials, defense stakeholders, PSUs
- System integrators, policy influencers, advisors
- Spend significant time on the ground:
- Stakeholder meetings
- Industry forums, defense expos, govt summits
- Closed-door strategy discussions
- Translate national-level problems into AI-driven solutions (defense, surveillance, governance, infrastructure, public services).
- Act as the internal bridge between AI engineering teams and government stakeholders.
- Track policy changes, procurement trends, and emerging national priorities.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven experience in Government / Defense tendering and bid wins (this is non-negotiable).
- Strong understanding of:
- Govt procurement processes
- Defense contracting ecosystems
- PSU & public sector buying behavior
- Prior exposure to AI, deep tech, data platforms, or digital transformation projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Comfort operating in long sales cycles with complex decision matrices.
- Strong industry relationships that actually convert—not just Linked In connections.
