Role: Senior QA Engineer / SDET
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our cross-functional technology team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions by combining strong manual and automation testing expertise .
You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Developers in both Agile and Waterfall environments .
Key Responsibilities
Define testing scope, strategies, test plans, and test cases for projects
Perform end-to-end testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, security, mobile, UI/UX, and cross-platform testing
Execute manual testing (black-box & white-box) and automation testing
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts across UI, API, and database layers
Work with automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber/Spec Flow, Rest Assured, Postman , etc.
Write and execute SQL queries to validate and prepare test data
Log, track, and document defects and test results using test management tools
Identify testing risks and technical challenges early in the project lifecycle
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
2+ years of hands-on experience in QA / SDET / Software Testing
Experience testing web and desktop applications
Working knowledge of:
Java / C# / JavaScript / Python (preferred)
HTML, CSS, React, ASP .Net
Databases: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
Strong experience with automation frameworks and testing tools
Solid understanding of Agile & Waterfall methodologies
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
⭐ Nice to Have
Experience with AWS or Azure
Knowledge of business domains like HR, healthcare, finance, energy, or procurement
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
Exposure to BDD, Object-Oriented Design , and modern QA practices
