PURPOSE OF JOB
The React Frontend Engineer is responsible to develop and support corporate websites and business applications by building React Frontend technology-based UI/UX components and integrate with Sitecore backend services in association with Group Leader and team members to provide the Bank with efficient and cost-effective way to handle CMS/ Custom Vendor applications . Develop frontend solutions based on business requirements, document solutions as per SDLC process.
The Jobholder also provides support for application software and systems including applications administration in non-production environment as applicable.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
A University degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.
Hands-on agile development methodology
Experience of minimum 4 - 7 years of frontend development for Sitecore CMS based solutions
Strong hands-on frontend development experience with a Sitecore headless module.
Should have an excellent understanding of CSS/HTML, JavaScript and ES6
Should have proven working experience in NodeJS and GraphQL
Should have experience in Sitecore JSS with React, Node JS
Should have working experience on SXA, Cortex, JSS, multi-site, multi-lingual, Sitecore Analytics & personalization features
Implement React best practices in relation Sitecore JSS as and when required
Strong experience with Tailwind CSS
Should have exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
Should have excellent working experience on GIT Hub / GIT Lab & branching strategies and standard practices.
Should be a team player with the ability to work very effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented manner.
Should be confident, pro-active with positive attitude and zeal to learn quickly.
Must be a fluent communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, open to accept challenges
Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.
Fluent in oral and written English, working knowledge of Arabic is a plus
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Degree Or Level Of The Job Accountabilities Is Dependent Upon The Grade Of The Jobholder In The Jobholder Position. The Job Accountabilities For The Jobholder Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following
Develop Excellent React & Sitecore CMS based UI/UX to meet business requirements
Design state of the art UI/UX components and to ensure customer requirements are met
Knowledge and ability to apply OOD and impact to the application development process
Strong
Experience with a JavaScript web framework like React preferred
Experience with responsive page layout – Tailwind CSS is a must
Knowledgeable of cross browser support issues, debugging and testing techniques
Issues detection, resolution and management
Document solutions as per SDLC documents, flowcharts, manuals
Build proof of concept examples
Interface with other systems as per requirement
Document, log, track and report issues on a daily basis.
Document unit test cases & get them validated
Document change implementation details for release with all the source code, configurations, export of formulae and workflow.
Handover knowledge to other members/teams on the project to ensure backup plan
