Role Overview
We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with a strong passion for quality, detail, and collaboration. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Pyxis platform releases by executing comprehensive test strategies, identifying defects, and driving continuous improvements in the QA process.

Key Responsibilities
1. Testing and Quality Assurance
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test plans based on product requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on web and API-based applications.
- Validate data consistency and accuracy across front-end, back-end, and databases.
2. Bug Tracking and Reporting
- Identify, document, and prioritize defects using tools like Jira, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and ensure smooth release cycles.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
3. Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Product Managers, Developers, and QA peers throughout the sprint lifecycle to ensure high-quality releases.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to align on testing priorities and timelines.
- Communicate test progress, risks, and results clearly to stakeholders.
4. Test Documentation
- Maintain detailed and well-structured test artifacts (test cases, reports, results).
- Contribute to test strategy creation, test coverage reviews, and risk assessments for major releases.
5. Automation Collaboration (Nice to Have)
- Identify and recommend opportunities for test automation.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestNG.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelo r’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking & test management tools (like JIRA/Zephyr).
- Skilled in writing clear, detailed, and reusable test cases and test plans.
- Familiarity with testing web applications, APIs (via Postman), and database validation using SQL.
- Experience with UI testing, cross-browser testing, and basic knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.
