Job Summary:

The Professor of Practice in Computer Science & Engineering will leverage extensive industry experience and applied expertise to effectively bridge the gap between academia and industry. The role focuses on delivering industry-integrated, application-focused teaching; mentoring students for professional excellence, guiding industry-driven projects, and advancing research and innovation in emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Curriculum Development

· Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in emerging CSE domains such as:
o  Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
o  Data Science & Big Data Analytics
o  Cybersecurity
o  Cloud Computing & Dev Ops
o  Blockchain Technology
o  Internet of Things (IoT)
o  Full Stack Development
o  Quantum Computing (introductory level)

· Design an industry-integrated curriculum aligned with latest technology trends (national and international).

· Conduct lab sessions, hands-on workshops, and coding bootcamps.

· Develop project-based learning modules and case studies.

2. Industry Integration and Alignment of Academic curriculum

· Design and conduct latest computer Industry Job oriented upskill/Specialisation training programmes.

· Design and conduct latest computer Industry Job oriented /Specialisation training programmes to Faculty Instructors to undertake such training independently.

· Establish strong industry collaborations and partnerships.

· Facilitate MOUs, internships, live projects, and industrial visits.

· Invite industry experts for guest lectures and seminars.

· Mentor and encourage students to take part in hackathons, innovation challenges, and startups.

3. Research & Innovation Support

· Guide students in applied research and real-time problem solving.

· Support patent filing, product development, and incubation initiatives.

· Contribute to funded projects and consultancy assignments.

4. Student Mentoring

· Provide structured career guidance and detailed job role orientation to students in the 3 rd  Year.

· Evaluate the latest trends in the industry for freshers both nationally and internationally.

· Conduct structured mock interviews to prepare students for placement cycles.

· Mentor and supervise final year and capstone projects, ensuring academic rigor and industry excellence.

· Provide technical skill enhancement guidance and support.

· Train students for placements in top tech companies.

5. Academic & Administrative Contribution

· Participate in Board of Studies and curriculum revision committees.

· Support accreditation processes (NIRF/NBA/NAAC/ABET).

· Contribute to institutional development initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria:

· Master's degree in computer science & engineering or related field.

· Ph.D. preferred (may be relaxed for candidates with exceptional industry experience).

· Minimum 10–15 years of relevant industry experience in reputed organizations.

· Combination of Industry experience and Academic experience (minimum 5 Years each) is preferred.

· Demonstrated expertise in emerging technologies and engineering industry trends.

· Experience in leading technical teams, product development, or R&D projects.

· Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working with global technology companies.

· Industry certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, CISSP, etc.).

· Experience in startups, product-based companies, or innovation ecosystems.

· Prior teaching or corporate training experience (minimum of 5 years).
