You don’t need to come from Early Childhood Education.
You don’t need a degree in psychology (though it helps).
You don’t need to “know everything.”
But you  do  need to be someone who:
Is intrinsically motivated to understand how children learn
Is fascinated by early development, behaviour, emotions, and play
Is willing to read, research, reflect, and grow
Enjoys sitting on the floor, following a child’s lead, and being fully present
Sees children as capable, thinking individuals
Believes safety and connection are non-negotiable
Can hold gentle but firm boundaries
Values community, collaboration, and non-hierarchical teamwork
Learns quickly and unlearns even faster
