Job Summary
The Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, conducting research, guiding students, and contributing to academic administration. The role involves curriculum development, laboratory supervision, research publications, and active participation in institutional development.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Duties
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Prepare lecture plans, course materials, and assessment tools.
- Conduct laboratory sessions and ensure proper use of equipment.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and projects.
- Mentor and guide students in academic and career development.
Research & Development
- Conduct research in specialized areas of EEE.
- Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
- Apply for funded research projects and grants.
- Guide undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
Curriculum & Academic Administration
- Assist in curriculum design and syllabus revision as per industry and academic standards.
- Participate in academic committees, accreditation activities (NBA/NAAC), and departmental meetings.
- Maintain academic records and documentation.
Institutional Responsibilities
- Participate in seminars, workshops, faculty development programs, and conferences.
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Contribute to industry–institute interaction and consultancy activities.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- PhD and Master’s Degree (M.E./M.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or relevant specialization with First Class or equivalent.
- Must meet UGC / AICTE norms (or as per governing body regulations).
Desirable Qualifications
- Teaching and/or research experience in reputed institutions.
- Strong academic background and communication skills.
