Product Manager – Audio Content & Production
About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Manager with hands-on audio production experience to lead products that power creation, distribution, and consumption of audio experiences. This role sits at the intersection of content, technology, and audience, translating creator and listener needs into scalable product solutions.
You’ll work closely with engineering, design, content, GenAI, research, and production teams to build tools and platforms that support audio formats such as podcasts, long-form audio, short clips, live audio, and emerging formats
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Discovery
● Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for audio content products
● Conduct user research with creators, producers, and listeners to uncover pain points and opportunities
● Translate business goals and audience insights into clear product requirements
● Own product success metrics (engagement, retention, creator adoption, content performance)
Audio Content & Production Enablement
● Partner with audio producers and content teams to understand end-to-end production workflows
● Build tools and features that support recording, editing, publishing, distribution, monetization, and analytics
● Optimize workflows for creators, hosts, editors, and operations teams
● Ensure product decisions respect audio quality, metadata, rights management, and publishing standards
● Build tools for creators across the world to provide completely immersive audio and video experience to the end consumers.
Execution & Delivery
● Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
● Prioritize backlog and lead sprint planning with engineering teams
● Collaborate with design on UX for creator tools and listener experiences
● Manage tradeoffs between speed, quality, and scope
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
● Act as the primary product point of contact for audio stakeholders
● Align with tech, content, production, research, genAI and marketing teams
● Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership
Required Qualifications:
● 3–7+ years of Product Management experience
● Optional / Plus:
Direct experience with audio content production (e.g., podcasts, radio, streaming, audio platforms, or creator tools)
● Strong understanding of audio production workflows (recording, editing, publishing, distribution)
● Experience working with engineers and designers in an agile environment
● Ability to turn ambiguous problems into structured product plans
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Experience building creator tools or content management systems (CMS)
● Familiarity with audio technologies (e.g., RSS feeds, encoding formats, hosting platforms, analytics)
● Experience with monetization models (ads, subscriptions, sponsor ships, licensing)
● Background in media, entertainment, or creator economy products
● Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools
