Role Summary
As our Video Editor & Producer , you will own the entire video content lifecycle — from pre-production planning and on-ground shooting to editing, final publishing, and performance tracking.
You will collaborate closely with the Content, Marketing, and Design teams to transform scripts into compelling visual stories optimized for Instagram, You Tube, paid ads, website, and brand platforms . This is a highly hands-on role requiring creativity, ownership, speed, and strong execution to deliver consistent, high-quality output at scale.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Editing
Plan, shoot, direct, and edit high-quality video content across social, You Tube, ads, website, and internal channels. Manage the complete production workflow:
Pre-production
Create shot lists, storyboards, and production plans
Coordinate locations, schedules, and setups
Prepare gear and equipment
On-ground Production
Frame shots, manage lighting, and capture clean audio
Direct teachers, founders, and on-camera talent
Post-production
Full video editing and assembly
Add music, subtitles, transitions, motion graphics
Perform color correction and basic VFX
Deliver Content Types
Reels and short-form videos
Testimonials and educational content
Brand films and teasers
Performance ad creatives
Ensure outputs are optimized for:
Vertical, square, and horizontal formats
Mobile-first viewing and viewer retention
2. Script Collaboration
Review scripts prepared by the Content Team prior to shoots.
Provide creative and technical inputs to improve:
Visual flow and pacing
Shooting feasibility
Platform-specific optimization
Story clarity
Collaborate with Content and Marketing teams during shoot planning and live production to tweak scripts and structure for maximum visual impact.
3. Creative Direction & Asset Management
Direct founders, teachers, and talent to perform confidently on camera.
Apply motion graphics, subtitles, transitions, and light VFX.
Build and maintain a centralized video asset library for content reuse and scale.
Develop standardized editing templates and presets for brand consistency and faster turnaround.
4. Tracking, Reporting & Team Collaboration
Own and maintain the video production tracker covering:
Shoot scheduling
Editing stages (rough cut → revisions → final)
Publishing deadlines
Asset storage and delivery
Provide weekly project updates to stakeholders.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Content, Design, and Marketing teams to continually improve workflow efficiency and creative outcomes.
5. Role Ownership & Startup Execution
This role is designed for a highly self-driven professional who thrives in a startup environment and operates with full autonomy.
Independence & Ownership
Work with minimal supervision while managing the complete video production process end-to-end. Take full responsibility for deliverables, proactively resolve issues, and execute projects confidently without constant guidance or hand holding.
Resourcefulness & Budget Confidence
Deliver high-quality video output within lean budgets and limited resources, including equipment, shoot setups, editing tools, and timelines. Demonstrate creative problem-solving and adaptability to maintain content excellence despite constraints.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Engagement, watch-time, and retention on organic videos.
Performance efficiency of paid video ads (CTR, conversions).
