CREATIVE STRATEGIST  Unhinged One | Remote (India) | Full-Time
JOB SUMMARY
We're looking for a data-driven Creative Strategist to lead creative development for our US-based DTC brand. You'll develop winning ad concepts, write high-converting scripts, brief creative producers, and continuously analyze performance data to iterate on what works. In our system, Creative is the #1 constraint - if creative fails, everything downstream breaks.

ROLE BRIEF As the Creative Strategist for Unhinged One, you are the architect of our paid social creative machine. You study what converts, develop hypotheses, write scripts, create briefs, and work closely with our creative producers and UGC creators to pump out high-volume, high-quality ad content.
Your job is to maintain an 8%+ winner rate on every batch of creatives you launch. You obsess over hooks, understand US consumer psychology, track competitor ads religiously, and use performance data to inform every creative decision. You're not just coming up with ideas - you're engineering ads that convert.
This role works hand-in-hand with the Media Buyer. They test your creatives and give you performance feedback; you iterate and improve. It's a tight feedback loop that requires constant communication and data analysis.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Creative Strategy & Concept Development
• Develop creative concepts based on proven frameworks (problem-agitate-solve, social proof, fear of missing out, before/after, etc.)

• Study US market trends, competitor ads, and viral content for creative inspiration

• Maintain a swipe file of winning ads across Meta, Tik Tok, and You Tube

• Create weekly creative briefs with scripts, visual direction, and production notes
Script Writing & Hooks
• Write scroll-stopping hooks (aim for 40%+ hook retention rate)

• Develop full ad scripts for UGC creators, talking head videos, and product demos

• Create multiple hook variations for A/B testing

• Write copy for static ads, carousel ads, and landing page variations
Creative Production Management
• Ensure 105+ new creatives are launched weekly (coordinating with creative producers)

• Brief and manage relationships with UGC creators and ambassadors

Quality control all creative output before it goes to Media Buyer

• Manage creative asset library and organize by performance tier
Performance Analysis & Iteration
• Analyze creative performance data weekly from Media Buyer

• Maintain 8%+ winner rate (winners that hit CPA target)

• Document what's working and what's not - build a creative playbook

• Double down on winning angles, kill losing concepts quickly

REQUIREMENTS Must Have
• 2 to 5+ years in performance creative/ad creative strategy for DTC brands

• Proven experience creating ads for US-based brands/US audiences (this is non-negotiable)

• Portfolio showing winning ad concepts with documented performance metrics

• Strong copywriting skills - ability to write hooks, scripts, and ad copy that converts

• Understanding of Meta Ads creative best practices (video specs, safe zones, aspect ratios)

• Fluent in US English - must understand American idioms, cultural references, and consumer language

• Experience briefing and managing UGC creators

• Ability to work during US business hours overlap (minimum 4 hours)
Nice to Have
• Basic video editing skills (Cap Cut, Premiere Pro)

• Experience with creative testing frameworks (DCT, modular creative)

• Knowledge of Tik Tok trends and native content styles

• Background in health, wellness, or lifestyle…
